Important activities
The project objective is related to strengthening the asylum and migration system in Romania in order to ensure necessary capacity for managing crisis situations. The project will support the efforts of Romania to improve the response capacity in the instance of a mass influx of migrants, with a focus on the protection of vulnerable immigrants and unaccompanied minors.
The main activities in the project
- Improvement operational capacity of the Romanian authorities in the field of asylum and migration by establishment of integrated contingency centers in case of massive influx of migrants, implementing a platform for the issuing of temporary identity documents, improving with additional services two reception centers for asylum seekers;
- Thematic training sessions provided for staff of the MoIA, exchanges of experiences, improving cooperation framework for national actors in managing the crisis situations caused by immigration.
